The Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center is sponsoring a new program that features local authors, called Summer Reading at the Center. The first featured author is Duke Robinson, author of, "Create Your Best Life: Kill the Grim Reaper." The discussion will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26 at Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church (55 Eckley Lane, Owl Room, Walnut Creek). Suggested donation $5. Refreshments will be served. Call 933-7850.

The use of the term "peacemaking" by members of the Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center is definately, IMO, a positive step forward with regard to the precedent and practice of 'global peacebuilding initiative'. The latter, IMO, gains further momentum with the proposed International Bill of Human Rights (see "2048: Humanity's Agreement to Live Together" by Dr. Kirk Boyd of UC Berkeley). An International Bill of Human Rights could be, IMO, the DNA of peacebuilding - the working hypothesis required and the testing of which hopefully leads pragmatically and progressively to the end of War.
