San Ramon police Officer Louis Lombardi, a former Contra Costa County Narcotic Enforcement Team officer, was arrested this morning at 9 a.m., Police Chief Scott Holder announced at a press conference Wednesday afternoon. Lombardi was charged with two counts of possession, grand theft, conspiracy and accessory, aiding and abetting.

Yes, I not only must eat my words on that one, but I humbly apologize to Danville for being so cocky. I was already taken to task for my "stupid remarks," on the Danville Express.
Now I apologize to San Ramon readers too. I hope Officer Lombardi is the only one in our SRPD involved in this mess.

At least your stand up enough to admit it. Bless your heart. There's bad apples everywhere in all professions. Cops get held to a higher standard making the good apples work harder to regain the public's trust.
