I am very appreciatve of the thousands of San Ramon residents who did support the refreshing open minded campaign that we ran and yes, I am dissipointed with the result.
Even if not openly admitted by the incumbants, I hope they do garner some of the fresh non-agenda'd perspcective I brought with my campaign. This morning, I will be calling Jim and Dave to honestly congradulate them on their new term. Overall, I did appreciate the clean race.
Next on the radar, a weekend hiking in Mendicino, local committee involvement review, continued committment to renewable energy education and project advancement. And in two years time, likely a revisit to the San Ramon City Council race depending on family first priorities.
Regarding the very expensive, (mark my words) City Center and Taj Mahal City Office plan and yet more development? I will continue to oppose, non-sustainable cold concrete, construction built of stucco, glass and steel resources.
I will continue to envision the warmth of an 'Old Towne' downtown here in San Ramon. We have the rich history to support a downtown and residents I have personally met, will openly embrace it.
Instead of the tendency to drive out of town for resturants and shopping in adjacent city downtowns, let's at least begin to visualize a downtown here. This traditional time tested element offers the simplicity of common sense design that will allow buisness to thrive in our community.
Kind Regards,
Jim Brady
