While 45 days is probably wise to truly consider the issue, I suspect SR is too conservative to want to "go here" and allow this business in San Ramon. It is unfortunate, as there are so many in need with chronic/terminal illness that benefit and have to drive a distance for this medicine...YES. MEDICINE. I so believe in it's use for those in need, and yet with it? -Come a litany of issues such as the one Dave poses...driving behind the wheel of a car without any real measure of influence on marijuana's use. That aside? Seeing the teens AND adults (many of whom I know, unfortunately) texting around this town while driving, talking on their cells, drinking/eating, looking at themselves in the mirror and just plain doing distractive things? Methinks it simply is one more malady we need to be aware of and therefore let go of and proceed according to the law we have ALREADY passed and are sanctioning. Sometimes? SR is a bit TOO conservative in allowing something new into the community or let's face it - ANY thing they have to "regulate". It's here to stay folks, it needs to stay and we need to deal with it.
